Terms of use

Last updated: October 1, 2026

1. About these terms

Stilk (stilk.app) is run by Pablo Guardiola, C/ Pla 8, 08980 Sant Feliu de Llobregat, Barcelona, Spain (contact@stilk.app). By using Stilk you accept these terms. If you’re a consumer, nothing here removes the rights the law gives you.

2. What Stilk is

Stilk lets you plant a virtual tree or flower and share its link so people can care for it together. Plants are virtual: they grow when they’re watered and can look thirsty or overgrown when they aren’t — that’s part of the experience, not a fault.

3. Accounts

You can use Stilk as a guest. Guest gardens live in your browser, so clearing your browser data or changing device can lose access to them; sign in with Google, Apple or email to keep your garden. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.

4. Your content and shared links

  • You keep ownership of the names, dedications and messages you write, and allow us to store and show them to people who have the plant’s link.
  • Anyone with a plant’s link can see it, care for it and leave messages. Share links with care.
  • Don’t post anything illegal, hateful, harassing or infringing, or other people’s personal data without their permission. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. Prices and payments

  • The Peony is free. Other plants have a one-time price shown before you pay.
  • Stilk Plus is a one-time payment that includes every plant, for as long as Stilk operates. It requires a signed-in account.
  • Prices are shown in US dollars; your bank may apply currency conversion, and taxes are added where required. Payments are processed by Stripe. There are no subscriptions or recurring charges.
  • In the iOS app, purchases are made through Apple’s App Store, shown in your local currency, and follow the App Store’s terms: Apple charges you and handles refund requests. The app is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard License Agreement, together with these terms.

6. Right of withdrawal

Purchases are digital content delivered immediately. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you would normally have 14 days to withdraw. By paying, you ask us to deliver your purchase right away and accept that you lose this right once it has been delivered (the plant has been planted or Stilk Plus is active). If something goes wrong — for example you were charged but didn’t receive what you bought — write to us and we’ll fix it or refund you.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep Stilk running, but can’t promise it will always be available or error-free, and we may change features. If we ever close Stilk, we’ll give reasonable notice (at least 30 days) on the site.

8. Liability

Stilk is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect losses or for content posted by other users. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Ending

You can stop using Stilk at any time and delete your account from the iOS app (Account → Delete Account) or by asking us. We may suspend accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you’re a consumer, you keep the protection of the laws of your country and can bring a claim in the courts where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date above shows the current version. Important changes will be announced on the site before they apply.
